Drag Car process
The Drag Car was our first hands on project in Power Tech.
In this project, we learned the Importance of Gear Ratio. Gear Ratio is the ratio of teeth between your two gears. If the driving gear is higher to the driven gear, the car will go fast. If the Driver Gear is lower than the driven gear, the car will go slow.
So what we did was build the faster gear ratio because we had to you know... make it go fast, which took us a good couple days to get down.
Unfortunately, something was messed up on the Drag Car the day before the race, and it performed very poorly due to it veering off to the left and causing it to catch on the side and move extremely slowly, one time it didn't even finish.
