The King of the Hill Race was the intermediate Race for the three Races, mostly because we actually knew what we were doing after the Slow Car Race. The hardest part about this race was trying to find the perfect Gear Ratio. At first we tried to do an overly complicated system of gears, the Car did 'work', but it was very unstable and when we tested it, it could barely make it up the 60% Ramp. We eventually decided that a 1/1 Ratio would be the best for what we were trying to do, a far stretch away from the overcomplicated set up. The Car was able to make it up the 80% Ramp, but unfortunately wasn't able to make it up the 90% Ramp, which is because of the weight being too top heavy, and I suspect the rubber bands on the tires made the Car much less effective.
In the end we should've gone for a grapple system, due to Cars like that being able to be made in about 5 minutes by students who hadn't had useable cars after a week of working. But all in all, we still did fairly well.
